Moisturizer From Your Kitchen - Lemon & Coconut Oil

Coconuts and lemons are a true gift of nature for making skin moisturizer creams. Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can prevent the growth of harmful bacteria while keeping the skin hydrated. On the other hand, lemons are very rich in vitamin C and citric acid, commonly used to even out skin tone, diminish oil, lighten age spots, acne scars and freckles. Combine the two ingredients together, and we have a powerful beauty product that will surely leave your skin glowing with joy.

Let’s go to the kitchen now! Pour 4 tbsp of virgin coconut oil in a small bowl. Place the bowl in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes until the coconut oil is solidified. Take the bowl out of the freezer and let it sit for a minute. Whisk with a hand mixer for about 2 to 3 minutes until the coconut oil has achieved a fluffy texture. Thoroughly mix 1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice to the bowl. Congratulations! Your homemade moisturizer cream is ready!

You can use this lemony coconut moisturizer for both your morning and evening routine. Swipe two fingers across the mixture and apply the moisturizer to areas that need attention. Refrigerate your lotion for later use. Before each use, remove moisturizer cream from fridge, once softened, re-whip with a small spoon and apply to skin.
