Tea oil is a plant extract that has been used for 100 years as a healing treatment in Australia. It is one of the most widely used essential oils. Tea tree oil contains constituents called terpenoids, which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal activity. The compound terpinene-4-oL is the most abundant and is thought to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's antimicrobial activity.

Tea tree oil is a reasonable choice for treating acne due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It’s his ability to calm redness, swelling, and inflammation. It may even help to reduce acne scars, leaving you with smooth, clear skin. Lots of scientific research studies have found that Tea Tree Oil is effective in treating mild to moderate acne.

Using a small amount of pure Tea Tree Oil, mixed with a few drops of witch hazel, apply to the affected areas of the skin, twice a day. By doing this regularly, you can dry out, blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, blemishes and disinfect the skin pores.

If you also have body acne you can dilute a few drops of Tea Tree Oil with a carrier oil and add to a bath, this can help in clearing up the acne from problem areas with minimal effort.
