Lemon and Honey Lip Gloss

Get ready to make a simple but super effective lip balm treatment right in your kitchen. Lemon juice is an excellent source of vitamin C and citric acid to remove dead skin cells and lighten the skin. And while honey provides some skin hydration, this recipe contains mostly Vaseline. Vaseline is a famous brand of petroleum jelly that keeps your skin from losing moisture, and has been used for more than a century as a healing balm and ointment for wounds, burns, and chafed skin. Combining these 3 ingredients to make a delicious lemony chap stick is a no brainer.

Take 1 tbsp of Vaseline in a glass bowl. Place the bowl in your microwave for 30 seconds and then take it out. Add 1 tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp of organic honey to the hot Vaseline. Thoroughly mix everything and carefully pour your liquid mix into an empty lip balm tin or tube. Make sure to tightly close the container and place it in the fridge for 10 minutes, followed by four hours in the freezer.

Keep it with you at all times to moisturize your lips with a delicious taste and smell. This can even be an icebreaker topic for your next date. Once you buy the chapstick tubes, you’ll want to experiment with all sorts of flavors to share with your family and friends!
